Engineering Project Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Project Coordinator to join our team at the Town of Marblehead. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the preparation of engineering plans and specifications, monitoring construction progress, and documenting improvements on Town-approved software.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical and administrative support to the Town Engineer, including planning daily workloads and collaborating with assigned tasks and projects.
2. Perform daily inspections of DPW crews and contractor crews, supervising certain tasks related to utility installation and roadway construction.
3. Assist the Town Engineer with MS4 program aspects, including plan reviews, stormwater facility inspections, and documentation of compliance actions.
4. Coordinate with contractors and consultants, ensuring project compliance with time and budget parameters.
5. Conduct technical reviews of site plans, subdivisions, and engineering calculations submitted to the Town.
6. Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, and contract documents for consulting and engineering services.
7. Aid in the preparation of reports, surveys, plans, and specifications using industry tools and software.
8. Communicate effectively with employees, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders, as well as Town officials and the general public.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field, with one to three years of progressively responsible experience.
• Engineer-in-Training Certification required, along with a valid Commonwealth of Massachusetts Drivers License.
• Extensive computer experience, including AutoCAD, GIS, Excel, and database programs.
