Ward Clerk Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Ward Clerk to join our team at Regency at Westland. As a Ward Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record and chart medical or administrative information in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Answer telephones, page calls, and deliver messages to residents as necessary.
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents, arranging for transportation and escorting them to the discharge/transfer area as needed.
  • File reports and documents in resident charts as directed.
  • Transcribe physician's orders to MAR and TARs, faxing orders to the pharmacy and notifying nurses of orders.
  • Schedule resident appointments for diagnostic and therapeutic services and arrange transportation.
  • Greet newly admitted residents and escort them to their rooms as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must be a High School graduate.
