Firefighter Paramedic

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Fire Paramedic to join our team at the City of West Jordan. As a Fire Paramedic, you will be responsible for responding to emergency calls, providing medical care, and participating in fire prevention programs.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to emergency calls, including fires, medical emergencies, and hazardous materials incidents.
- Provide advanced life support care, including administering medications, performing advanced airway management, and utilizing intravenous techniques.
- Participate in fire prevention programs, including conducting inspections, identifying hazards, and providing education to the public.
- Operate a variety of fire apparatus, equipment, and vehicles, including fire trucks, medic units, and rescue equipment.
- Perform administrative duties, including maintaining records, preparing reports, and participating in training activities.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Utah Driver's License.
- Utah State Firefighter I & II Certifications within one year of employment.
- Utah State Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations Certifications within one year of employment.
- Utah State Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic Certification.
The Fire Paramedic will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, responding to emergency calls and participating in fire prevention programs. The position requires the ability to work in a team environment, think critically, and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
The Fire Paramedic will be required to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends. The position also requires the ability to lift 125 pounds, work in confined spaces, and be exposed to hazardous materials and environments.
