Position Overview

The Forklift Operator plays a crucial role in the logistics process by maneuvering a forklift to transport finished products from the production area to the storage facility. This position requires a commitment to the safe and effective operation of the forklift, along with the potential for additional responsibilities to support production activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a forklift, clamp truck, or other powered equipment to load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials.
  • Efficiently organize and store finished goods in designated locations.
  • Keep the facility's equipment and materials in a tidy, organized, and clean state.
  • Conduct inspections and perform minor maintenance on the forklift and other material handling equipment.
  • Follow established work methods to operate all equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Complete necessary documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
