Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Unit Coordinator II to provide administrative and clerical support to our clinical services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the individual registration process, insurance verification, and coordination with clinical staff to ensure efficient functioning of the unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registers and checks enrollment eligibility, including Third Party Liability and private insurance.
  • Coordinates the administrative process for handling petitions, including checking for completeness and notarizing documents.
  • Assists medical staff by obtaining and relaying individual information from hospital ED staff, clinical staff, family members, and/or other Providers.
  • Monitors medical and clinical timeliness of involuntary process.
  • Arranges pick up orders with law enforcement and documents all efforts made.
  • Oversees bed placement of patients with other facilities and within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Answers telephones for admission and discharge purposes.
  • Maintains the patient board, entering new arrivals, assigning Providers, Nurses, Crisis Workers, and prioritizing arrivals.
  • Participates in ongoing training and demonstrates competency through observation and post-testing.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of administrative experience.
  • At least 1 year of behavioral health experience.
  • A current Notary required or the ability to become a notary within the first 90 days.
  • Arizona Level I Fingerprint Clearance Card.
