Position Overview

The Federal Financial Management Associate Manager plays a crucial role within a Functional Team, assisting the Department of the Navy's Office of Financial Management in maintaining property accountability and financial reporting.

This position requires the individual to develop a comprehensive understanding of property-related business processes, internal controls, and systems to support the client’s objectives of achieving complete accountability and audit readiness for asset management.

Key Responsibilities

The Associate Manager is expected to:

  • Utilize subject matter expertise to assess cross-functional processes and transactions affecting Financial Management and Comptroller (FM&C) and Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (AT&L) sectors.
  • Integrate asset management with financial management functions to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in audit readiness or property management.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Federal Government Accounting and/or Auditing.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with DLA/Working Capital Fund (WCF) Inventory.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Preferred Skills

Ideal candidates will also have:

  • An understanding of asset management accounting/audit related to GPP&E, Inventory & Related Property.
  • Certifications such as CDFM, CGFM, and/or CPA.
  • Experience with DOD / DON FIAR.
