Position Overview

The Truck Driver is responsible for conducting thorough inspections of the vehicle before and after each journey, ensuring compliance with safety standards and reporting any discrepancies in vehicle condition. Collaboration and teamwork are crucial for achieving success in this role, as all employees are expected to foster a respectful and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct vehicle inspections and report on the condition before and after trips.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of cargo.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service during pick-up and delivery operations.
  • Interpret and follow company documents, including safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.
  • Communicate in a professional manner at all times.
  • Respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on vehicles as necessary.
  • Ensure quality and compliance through inspection of completed work.
  • Support and mentor fellow team members.
  • Comply with all company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Exhibit flexibility in working hours, including days, nights, and weekends.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driving record.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • One or more years of relevant experience.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to see well enough to perform paperwork and operate heavy machinery.
  • Effective communication skills are necessary for interaction with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, and squat as required.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Work Environment
  • This position involves exposure to high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, and various outdoor weather conditions. Occasional exposure to hazardous materials may occur.
