Nurse Practitioner Role

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at University Hospital. As a primary care specialist, you will provide high-quality patient care in a variety of settings, from ambulatory to inpatient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a member of the healthcare team, providing primary and specialized health care services, including preventive care and ongoing health maintenance for selected groups of patients.
- Function in various settings, ranging from outpatient clinics to inpatient units, participating in the care of well, acutely ill, and chronically ill patients.
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans, utilizing advanced knowledge and skills obtained through an accredited post-basic or advanced educational program of study.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimize treatment outcomes.
Requirements:
- A Master's degree in nursing is preferred, but a Registered Professional Nurse with a post-basic or advanced educational program of study acceptable to the Board of Nurse Examiners is required.
- Three years of nursing experience is necessary, with two years of advanced practice being preferred.
- Certification by a national nursing body is recommended, and current CPR Healthcare Provider card or higher is required per Medical-Dental Staff Bylaws.
- Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Texas and credentialed by the State to practice as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, with prescriptive authority being recommended.
