In the role of Facilities Operations Supervisor, you will ensure the seamless and effective functioning of all operational areas, guaranteeing that the facilities are maintained in optimal condition. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and/or arrange for the preventive maintenance and repairs of all facility and operational equipment promptly; maintain machine maintenance records.
  • Serve as a technical leader proficient in electronics, mechanical conveyor repair, and lift truck systems; possess in-depth knowledge of the Distribution Center (DC) layout and product flow.
  • Provide guidance and direction to department heads and maintenance staff regarding customer service, safety, cost management, and technical repairs.
  • Communicate with management about ongoing projects; coordinate the maintenance and repair of the entire DC and all building equipment, including conveyors, Material Handling Equipment (MHE), and electrical, fire, and security systems.
  • Act as the primary authority on repair and maintenance, managing personnel assigned to technical and maintenance roles.
  • Oversee all facility equipment purchase orders, work orders, and invoices.
  • Supervise contractor services and bids for HVAC, janitorial, waste management, recycling, PIT maintenance and repair, elevator inspections, pest control, and annual servicing of scales and packaging machines.
  • Train, supervise, evaluate, and recommend actions regarding employee performance within established policy guidelines.

Qualifications for Success at GXO:

To be considered, you will need:

  • A minimum of 4 years of hands-on repair experience, particularly in distribution or manufacturing.
  • Experience with warehouse management or inventory systems; familiarity with ISO environments.
  • Knowledge of electrical motor controls, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and preventative maintenance of conveyor systems.
  • Understanding of generator and emergency power systems, Ethernet, DeviceNet, and RS232 communications; ability to troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
  • Aptitude for performing semi-complex mathematical operations involving percentages and time variables.

It would be advantageous if you also possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 6 years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity.
  • Experience with equipment from multiple manufacturers.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems.
