Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Coffee Shop Beverages: Brew, mix, and blend beverages according to established standards.
  • Prepare Food Items: Prepare food items according to procedures to ensure high-quality products.
  • Ensure Food and Beverage Safety: Handle food and beverages in a safe manner and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Operate Cash Register: Itemize customer purchases and process payments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Stock and Merchandise: Stock items, rotate coffee and merchandise displays, and maintain an understanding of current store programs and product locations.
  • Understand Equipment Operation: Understand the use of check-stand equipment and coffee shop equipment and operate them efficiently.
  • Notify Department Lead: Notify the department lead or manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
  • Comply with Company Policies: Comply with Company policies regarding security, cash handling, product handling, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a Clean Department: Maintain a clean and well-stocked department and ensure it complies with Company safety and sanitation procedures and standards.
  • Communicate Company Programs: Communicate Company programs, in-store specials, and coupons to customers and model high standards of service to achieve a customer-oriented store.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED (preferred)
  • Experience: One year of retail or related experience preferred
  • Skills: Good verbal communication skills, ability to interact politely and effectively with customers; good customer service and organizational skills; detail-oriented; basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills
Physical Requirements
