Job Summary:

Brosnan Risk Consultants is seeking a highly skilled and reliable Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their properties.

Responsibilities:

  • Observe and report any suspicious activities or incidents at assigned client sites.
  • Make periodic patrols to check for irregularities and inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.
  • Preserve order and enforce regulations and directives for the site.
  • Control access to client sites or facilities through the admittance process.
  • Patrol assigned sites on foot or in vehicle and check for unsafe conditions, hazards, and security violations.
  • Protect evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.
  • Respond to fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents.
  • Prepare logs and reports as required.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid guard card.
  • Proof of successful completion of Power to Arrest Training and 32-hour training in security officer skills (California only).
  • Annual 8-hour Continued Education Requirement (California only).
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Have a reliable means of communication.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports.
