We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health team at Avera Behavioral Health Center. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to patients with medical and mental health needs, including those with conditions such as Dementia, Depression, Catatonia, Anxiety Disorders, Schizophrenia, and Bipolar Disorder.
- Work collaboratively with a dynamic team, including Physicians, Social Workers, Case Management, Patient Care Techs, expressive therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and provide education to patients and their families.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence.
- Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- 2 years of RN experience within a hospital setting preferred.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure required.
- Certification in specialty encouraged.
- Membership in a professional organization encouraged.
