JOB SUMMARY

The Radiologic Imaging Specialist is tasked with executing a range of radiologic examinations in an outpatient environment while ensuring exceptional levels of customer service and quality patient care.

Responsibilities encompass conducting standard X-Ray examinations in accordance with established protocols, safeguarding patient confidentiality, and exhibiting empathy to ensure overall patient satisfaction.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform standard X-Ray examinations adhering to established protocols and demonstrate proficiency with minimal supervision.
  • Accurately enter all required patient information into the system, including protocols, patient history, and referring providers. Responsible for addressing any additional information needed by the radiologist for the examination and managing patient requests for CDs.
  • Correctly identify patients and demonstrate compassion while maintaining patient confidentiality. Take responsibility for patient care, safety, and comfort.
  • Ensure examination rooms are equipped with necessary supplies and promptly report any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor. Also responsible for the upkeep of equipment.
  • Be flexible to work in various locations as assigned.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by effectively communicating with colleagues and supervisors in a respectful manner. Promote teamwork by assisting other staff when necessary.
  • Maintain required credentials for the position.
WORK EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Radiology field preferred.

High School Diploma or GED.

Completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology as recognized by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

Hold current certification (ARRT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and be licensed by the Florida Department of Health.

SKILLS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Competence in patient positioning, diagnostic image acquisition, equipment issue identification, and fostering positive relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, perform frequent bending, stooping, or stretching; must possess clear vision with or without corrective eyewear, and good hearing ability with or without assistance. Role may involve lifting objects weighing 50 pounds or more.
