- Third-Party Firm Oversight: Conduct regular audits and evaluations of third-party detailing firms to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Vendor Procurement: Research, vet, and procure new third-party detailing firms to meet the company's needs.
- Team Leadership: Plan, assign, direct, and review the work of in-house detailers and Drafter/Detailers.
- Project Management: Assist in assigning and monitoring work of outside detailing firms.
- Travel: Travel to audit third-party detailing firms and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Experience: 10 years of drafting and detailing experience, with a strong focus on structural steel, stairs, handrails, and miscellaneous metals.
- Management Experience: Minimum of 2 years of management experience, with a proven track record of leadership and team management.
- Software Skills: 5 years of experience using Advance Steel, Tekla, SDS/2, or equivalent 3D steel modeling software.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with engineering, fabrication, and manufacturing personnel.
- Education: Associate's degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management preferred, but not required for candidates with 10 years of experience.
