Description
As a Surgical Technology Instructor at Success Education Colleges, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of medical professionals. Our institution is committed to providing a stable and growing environment for our students, and we are seeking an experienced educator to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality educational experiences for students in the Surgical Technology program, ensuring that curriculum is up-to-date and effective delivery methods are employed.
- Prepare, administer, and grade written and practical examinations, providing feedback to students to support their academic progress.
- Plan and assign student activities in the classroom and clinical settings to achieve program objectives and outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and grades, providing a professional role model for students.
- Participate in the selection and preparation of instructional materials, devising written lesson plans and implementing them through lecture, demonstration, and discussion.
- Collaborate with the Program Director to identify individual and collective learning needs of students, being mindful of their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
- Assist students in developing an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the healthcare profession.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director or designee.
Qualifications
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with students, staff, faculty, and external customers, including Advisory Board members and clinical sites.
- Demonstrated exceptional customer-focused skills, with the ability to address student needs and resolve issues with diplomacy and tact.
- Exhibit exceptional organizational skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Possess a high degree of integrity and commitment to complying with policies, regulations, and codes of conduct governing all aspects of job responsibilities.
- Demonstrate computer literacy skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Education and Experience
- Requires a minimum of three years of operating room experience or teaching in the field, or a combination of the two, within five years prior to hire date.
- A credential in the field of Surgical Technology, accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA), is not required.
- Requires a current certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
- Associates Degree in any subject.
- Must be available full-time.
