DND Groups, Inc. is a well-established franchise management organization, overseeing a diverse portfolio of over 62 quick-service dining establishments across the nation. Our company proudly represents five globally recognized brands, including Dairy Queen, Noodles & Co., Paris Baguette, Taco Johns, and Zaxby's. We are seeking a dedicated and growth-oriented manager to take charge of our Dairy Queen outlet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and nurturing a reliable team. The general manager will mentor, support, and elevate the performance of crew members and shift leaders.
  • Fostering a positive work atmosphere among all restaurant personnel. Promoting a collaborative and enjoyable workplace is essential for maximizing employee morale, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Recruiting, training, and mentoring shift managers while conducting formal employee performance evaluations.
  • Ensuring the team is prepared to deliver exceptional guest experiences across all service areas.
  • Leveraging the restaurant's profit and loss statements to enhance sales and profitability by analyzing costs of goods sold (COGS) and implementing necessary corrective measures.
  • Managing inventory levels, forecasting demand fluctuations throughout the year, and adjusting staffing accordingly.
  • Guaranteeing adequate staffing to meet sales targets. Preparing crew schedules and approving those created by assistant managers to align with labor goals.
  • Addressing customer complaints promptly and effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction while identifying areas for team improvement.
  • Coordinating and executing local marketing initiatives, along with integrating regional and national promotional campaigns to boost restaurant sales.
  • Exercising sound judgment in decision-making and reporting issues to the district manager.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in restaurant management is essential, with a strong preference for quick-service restaurant experience.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Candidates should possess a strong sense of urgency, thrive in high-pressure environments, and have the ability to inspire their team.
  • Excellent customer service skills, along with the capacity to engage with a diverse range of crew members and customers.
  • A proven history of effective management, demonstrated through previous COGS and labor management.
  • Successful candidates will be detail-oriented, capable of overseeing and balancing all aspects of a dynamic restaurant environment.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds is necessary.
  • A strong sense of ownership is crucial. The ideal leader is consistently available to their team, akin to a parental figure, ensuring that support is accessible at all times.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
