As a Clinical Nurse, you will be responsible for implementing care plans that encompass medication administration, specimen collection, and various clinical treatments. Your role is vital in ensuring comprehensive medical care for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document all patient care activities accurately.
- Monitor, record, and effectively communicate patient conditions to the care team, physicians, patients, and their families.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, nutrition, and mobility.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and addressing spiritual or psychosocial support needs.
- Assess the educational needs of patients and their families, providing tailored education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program is required.
- A Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
Essential Skills:
- Critical thinking and decisive judgment are essential.
- Ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment.
Certifications Required:
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire and maintain thereafter.
Licensure:
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in North Carolina or from a Compact State.
