Pathologist - Clinical and Anatomical Pathology Specialist

Guthrie Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled and certified Pathologist to join its esteemed team of medical professionals. As a key member of our pathology department, you will play a vital role in providing accurate and timely diagnostic services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Pathological Analysis: Conduct microscopic analysis of submitted specimens, including frozen sections and FNA interpretation, and provide immediate adequacy assessment.
- Board Certification: Be board-certified or eligible by the American Board of Pathology in both clinical and anatomical pathology.
- Specialized Training: Possess fellowship training in Cytopathology or GI, with a strong preference for candidates with expertise in these areas.
- Collaboration and Communication: Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a sincere interest in working collaboratively with clinicians and administrators to deliver integrated care.
- Remote Work Options: Be open to a hybrid position with some remote work opportunities.
- Call Schedule: Participate in a weekday and weekend call schedule from home, with a 1:5 call ratio and a new hire call ratio of 1:6.
- Autopsy and Grossing Responsibilities: Not be required to perform autopsies or gross specimens, as these tasks will be completed by APP staff.
- Supportive Team Environment: Work in a team environment with three APPs in the lab and access to digital pathology.
- Licensure Requirements: Hold licensure in Pennsylvania and New York.
