Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Puma Staffing. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and engines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct equipment inspections and repairs to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Perform internal engine repairs and full engine rebuilds as needed
  • Assist with DOT inspections and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Provide detailed explanations of issues found on equipment and troubleshoot equipment failures
  • Meet deadlines on equipment needs and communicate updates to management
  • Use power tools and hand tools in a safe and efficient manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines and protocols
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Dependability and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Caterpillar and MTU engine experience preferred but not required
  • Good troubleshooting skills and ability to use power tools and hand tools
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines and detailed work instructions

Work Environment
