Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an OSP Inspector II to join our team. This role involves traveling within designated regions to oversee the inspection of underground, buried, and aerial plant facilities, ensuring compliance with current standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections and audits of client facilities, documenting findings electronically.
- Ensure that any corrective actions required by contractors are implemented effectively.
- Communicate findings and updates through various digital platforms, maintaining accurate records of inspections and pole transfers.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in NESC inspections or as part of an aerial cable line crew.
- Background in performing wooden pole ground line inspections.
- Strong understanding of OSP Construction Standards and familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows XP, Excel 2003 or newer, and Outlook.
- Experience with mapping tools, such as Microsoft MapPoint 2009 or newer, is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Comfortable with internet navigation and web-based applications.
Personal Attributes:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Experience in managing construction contractors effectively.
- A valid driver's license and readiness to travel as needed.
