Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team at St John's United. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance duties to ensure the physical plant and properties of our organization are well maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine work orders in a timely manner and report on status
Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment
Assist with remodel and construction projects
Maintain lawn equipment and vehicles
Respond to and address special facility needs identified and requested by staff and residents

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED, one or more years of experience in a related field
Ability to accept responsibility and account for actions
Ability to do minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical work
Ability to operate and maintain work tools
Ability to safely use machinery
Ability to understand written and verbal communication
Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects
Ability to understand and follow safety policies and procedures

Working Conditions:

Work involves some exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Work involves some exposure to hazards, bloodborne pathogens, or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. Normal health care environment. Work involves exposure to plants and animals within the environment.
