Facility Engineering Specialist

Facilities Engineers are essential in delivering expert engineering solutions that support the design, acquisition, construction, operation, and ongoing maintenance of facilities. They oversee and coordinate significant facility enhancements, renovations, and the establishment of new structures. Their involvement spans all aspects of facilities lifecycle management.
Job Responsibilities
This role functions as a facilities engineer within the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, specifically within the Joint Program Management Office (JPMO) and Campus Manager Office (CMO). The incumbent will:
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering initiatives to develop and implement projects while maintaining collaborative campus operations.
- Support strategic campus planning and integration efforts.
- Encourage a culture of teamwork and collaboration in line with campus principles.
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with local and regional government entities, as well as the Fort Belvoir Garrison and Department of Public Works.
- Manage complex challenges that arise within the campus environment and among partners.
- Provide technical guidance and expertise regarding facilities engineering needs.
- Serve as Deputy Program Manager, representing the JPMO in various working groups and leadership teams focused on campus initiatives.
Additional Information

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a degree in Engineering from an accredited institution. Relevant experience in managing engineering and facilities operations, as well as the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments, is essential. Candidates should also demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
Security Requirements
As a condition of employment, candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance, which includes passing a polygraph examination and drug testing. Compliance with all security protocols is mandatory.
