About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Guest Services Associate to join our team at Listedbuy. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for our guests, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Operate the point of sale system, accurately processing transactions and handling cash, credit, and other forms of payment.
  • Stock and face merchandise, ensuring shelves and displays are fully stocked and visually appealing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the dip side, coffee area, and restrooms.
  • Monitor and control cash levels, following proper procedures for handling cash and making change.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and store displays, ensuring a visually appealing store environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and special projects.

Requirements:

  • Ability to speak, hear, and understand spoken English well enough to communicate effectively with customers.
  • Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment, including the point of sale system and gas console.
  • Ability to understand operating instructions for store equipment and to operate all store equipment.
  • Ability to prepare dip side items using supplies located in the dip cabinets.
  • Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons, and food stamps, recognizing denominations and accurately making change.
  • Ability to recognize numbers, count, and do arithmetic well enough to complete required records.
  • Ability to move merchandise from storage to shelves, displays, freezers, and milk boxes, and place for proper display.
  • Ability to clean counters and other surfaces.
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as -30 degrees Fahrenheit for at least 2 minutes.
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as +33 degrees Fahrenheit for at least 10 minutes.
  • Ability to raise at least 10 pounds from floor level to a height of 5 feet.
  • Ability to place an 8' x 10' x 10' package weighing 21 pounds into a dip cabinet, the top of which is 3 feet above the floor.

This role requires working in a fast-paced retail environment, with frequent customer interactions and exposure to various temperatures and physical demands. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicate clearly and professionally, and maintain a positive attitude in a dynamic and ever-changing retail environment.
