About the Role
As a Caregiver / Patient Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our residents. This includes administering medications, taking vital signs, and providing direct patient care. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate medical records and reporting any reactions or concerns to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN)/(LVN).
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN)/(LVN), maintaining accurate medical records.
- Present medication to patients and observe ingestion or administer medication using specified procedures.
- Take vital signs or observe patients to detect response to medication, and report reactions.
- Restock medication inventories.
- Provide direct patient care, ensuring resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations and initiating corrective action as appropriate.
