We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Ascension Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village, IL. As a Mammography Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.
Responsibilities- Operate mammography equipment and perform various procedures to produce high-quality images.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging, ensuring accurate and safe procedures.
- Explain procedures and educate patients about the importance of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
- Develop and evaluate images for technical quality, following radiation safety guidelines.
- Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS.
- Maintain a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and film storage.
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
- One or more of the following certifications: Radiologic Technologist specializing in Mammography (ARRT), Radiologic Technologist issued by the Illinois Emergency Mgmt Agency, or Medical Sonographer (ARDMS).
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
