Regional Planning Specialist

Are you passionate about urban and regional planning? Do you have a strong background in GIS, data analysis, and community engagement?
We are seeking an undergraduate or graduate intern to join our Community and Regional Planning Department at the Greater Nashville Regional Council (GNRC). As a Regional Planning Specialist, you will have the opportunity to apply your technical skills to support meaningful projects in a rapidly growing metropolitan area.
The selected candidate will assist with research to document local and national best practices, prepare reports to document planning program activities and outcomes, and develop community engagement tools. You will also assist with logistics and preparation for stakeholder and public meetings across the Middle Tennessee area.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in land use planning, transportation planning, and public policy. The preferred candidate will have prior coursework or practical experience in these fields.
We offer a competitive salary of approximately $40,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. A valid driver's license and access to personal transportation are required for regular travel throughout the region.
About GNRC:
