New Life Centers of Chicagoland NFP is seeking a Data & Technology Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time, exempt position with benefits.

About the Role

The Data & Technology Specialist will be responsible for performing key data management tasks to coordinate collection of accurate data, strategically communicate input and outputs through reports and narratives, analyze NLC data to improve the quality of service provided to youth, and oversee the NLC data team. The ideal candidate will have one year's experience working in the human services field in a capacity that involves direct services to at-risk youth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Management: Responsible for the accurate entry, collection, and reporting of data, as well as managing accuracy of data entry, oversight, and timely reporting through various tools.
  • Implementation: Implements data collection processes and reporting to ensure necessary measurement and reporting tools are in place for grant compliance.
  • Documentation: Adheres to stipend guidelines and submits required paperwork on time, follows data tracking requirements, and meets documentation deadlines.
  • Communication: Communicates project information with staff and participants, responds promptly to requests from the Program Director, Program Coordinator, and Finance Manager.
  • Analysis and Interpretation: Analyzes and interprets data to develop and provide accurate outcome reports as requested.
  • Training and Support: Coordinates data system training and refresher trainings for staff, interns, and volunteers as necessary, assists in creating data visualizations using various data programs, and assures the maintenance of up-to-date rosters and complete files.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • One year's experience working in the human services field in a capacity that involves direct services to at-risk youth.
  • Cross-cultural competency, emotional maturity, good judgment, integrity, tolerance of differing points of view and beliefs.
  • Experience or training in crisis intervention preferred.
  • Willingness to learn and commit to the principles of nonviolence, restorative justice, and trauma-informed practices.
  • Ability to work one-on-one and in groups with high-risk individuals to resolve conflicts and promote prosocial behaviors.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Valid Illinois driver's license, insurance, good driving record, access to a vehicle (subject to driving background check).

Salary and Benefits
