Position Overview

Pennant Solutions Group is currently looking for an IT Security Specialist to support a significant NASA contract. This role requires candidates to possess or be eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing security frameworks, including firewalls, VPNs, content filtering systems, and Web Application Firewalls (WAFs).
  • Managing IPsec VPNs and ensuring secure remote access.
  • Conducting thorough reviews and submissions of firewall policies.
Essential Qualifications

Applicants should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree accompanied by a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications

Desirable attributes include:

  • Hands-on experience with Fortinet Firewalls, Pulse Security Appliances, and/or Cisco ASA.
  • Relevant network and security certifications (e.g., Security+, Network+, CISSP, CySa+, CCNA, Fortinet Certifications).
  • Practical experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Experience in laboratory testing and coordinating technical requirements.
