About the Role

Sun River Health is seeking a highly skilled Psychotherapist to join our team at our Westchester Square location in the Bronx, NY.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide specialized knowledge and skills for psychiatric and mental health evaluation, assessment, and management of clients. Strong therapy skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychotherapy for patients
  • Conduct psychosocial evaluations for patients
  • Collaborate with psychiatric nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, and other medical staff to manage patient care
  • Assess the multidimensional needs of patients and develop and implement care plans
  • Function as a patient advocate, participating in clinical meetings, patient care conferences, and informal discussions with healthcare and mental health program staff
  • Provide patient education relative to psychiatric mental health issues
  • Prepare written reports and care coordination as needed
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling, Counseling, Psychology, Family Therapy, or related field as recognized by the US Department of Education
  • NYS license LCSW, LMSW, or LMHC
  • At least 2 years' experience in the psychiatric mental health care of persons with HIV/AIDS
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required
Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $100,000 annually, based on licensure.
