Quality Assurance Specialist (Defect Analysis)

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at LG Energy Solution Michigan, Inc. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing lithium-ion batteries and Battery Management System related failure parts to identify root causes.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Verify calibrations for all equipment to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Conduct thorough tear-down analysis and reporting to identify defects and areas for improvement.
  • Present investigation results clearly and concisely to stakeholders.
  • Train Quality Inspectors on testing equipment to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality product data is maintained.
  • Work independently to analyze data from measuring devices and identify trends.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to prevent injuries.
  • Follow dress code requirements and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Complete training requirements to stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
  • Attend regular on-site meetings to discuss progress and address any concerns.
  • Follow cleaning Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

**Requirements:**

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Vocational Certificate or Associate's Degree preferred.

**Experience:**

  • 1 to 3+ years of related experience in quality assurance or a related field.
  • Preventative maintenance experience a plus.

**Skills:**

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Willingness to participate in technical training and professional development.
  • Basic math skills and ability to interpret graphs and measurements.
  • Ability to wear required PPE and follow safety protocols.
