Job Title: Clinical Speech-Language Pathologist Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Speech-Language Pathologist Specialist to join our team at Texas Children's Hospital. As a specialist in pediatric speech-language pathology, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with speech, oral motor/swallowing, language, and learning disorders.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient evaluations and consultations, interpreting results to develop effective treatment plans.
  • Provide results verbally to patients and/or family/caregivers, as well as to referral sources.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records, adhering to laws, IDS policy, and administrative regulations.
  • Document evaluation procedures, results, diagnoses, and recommendations.
  • Participate in continuing education programs to maintain licensure and promote professional growth.
  • Promote speech-language pathology services within the community and the IDS.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • CCC-SLP certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association required.
  • TX-SLP license from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation required.
  • 1-year professional speech-language pathology experience with pediatrics required.
  • Preferred experience with pediatric dysphagia evaluation and treatment in medically complex populations.
