We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to provide strategic leadership for our facility. As the Operations Director, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and profitable operation of the elevator and/or terminal. Working closely with senior management, you will oversee inventory management, operational cost control, logistics, supply chain optimization, maintenance management, talent development, energy efficiency, and asset security, among other responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory levels within company guidelines
  • Maintain operational cost control and optimize resource allocation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on facility improvements and strategic initiatives
  • Develop and implement supply chain optimization strategies
  • Coordinate maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Develop and lead operational teams to achieve business objectives
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements
  • Implement energy efficiency initiatives to reduce costs and minimize environmental impact
  • Secure assets and ensure the integrity of company property
  • Lead and manage onsite personnel to achieve business objectives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Technical Degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, operations management, or a related field
  • 3+ years' experience in a leadership role in a similar industry, such as grain elevator or terminal operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Special Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Exposure to loud noise and grain dust
  • Moving safely in various environments
  • Proper use of personal protective equipment
  • Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor conditions
  • Capable of meeting job demands for up to 8 hours daily
