Physical Therapist Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at SSM Health Physical Therapy in St. Peters, MO.
Job Summary:The Physical Therapist Assistant will work under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to assist with the implementation of the therapy plan of care. This includes delegation and direction of supportive personnel, communication with supervising PT, and participation in education of patients, families, students, coworkers, and self.
Responsibilities:- Assist with the implementation of the therapy plan of care under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Delegate and direct supportive personnel for assigned patients to enhance patient care services.
- Communicate with supervising PT regarding scheduled patients to ensure identification of need for assessment and reassessment, modification of treatment plans, and other interventions requiring therapist direction.
- Participate in education of patients, families, students, coworkers, and self.
- Perform other professional duties associated with the care of the patient within the scope of practice.
- Physical Therapy Assistant Degree or certification required.
- Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant required.
- CPR certification.
