We are seeking a highly skilled and user-focused adjunct librarian to join our team at the New York University Division of Libraries. As a liaison for the NYU Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies and the departments of Spanish & Portuguese, French, and Italian Studies, you will play a critical role in building and providing services to our faculty, graduate, and undergraduate students.
Key Responsibilities- Provide virtual and in-person reference services, including one-on-one consultations and instructional activities.
- Contribute to the development of collections and special projects as needed.
- Collaborate with the librarian liaison group to ensure service coverage and meet incoming requests.
- ALA-accredited MLS/MLIS degree.
- Experience in reference, virtual reference, or research consultation services.
- Excellent Spanish-language reading, writing, and speaking skills.
- Experience in one of the fields or programs covered by these liaison duties.
- Familiarity with key library resources in these areas.
- Comfort operating in a virtual environment with standard tools.

- Reading ability in another Romance language, such as French, Portuguese, or Italian.
