Nursing Supervisor - Day Shift
As a Nursing Supervisor, you will oversee the provision of resident care delivered by both licensed and unlicensed nursing staff, ensuring that our standards are not only met but exceeded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular health and wellness assessments for residents, addressing any health-related inquiries.
- Perform comprehensive evaluations of resident information prior to their move-in and whenever there are changes in their health status, in accordance with residence policies and state regulations.
- Review medical documentation to confirm that our facility can meet the unique needs of each resident.
Medication Management:
- Order and manage medication schedules for residents requiring assistance with medication administration.
- Ensure accurate documentation for all medication-related activities.
- Collaborate with the Director of Resident Care or Director of Assisted Living to create and maintain personalized service plans for each resident.
Communication and Coordination:
- Maintain open lines of communication with residents, their families, and healthcare providers regarding medical needs.
- Coordinate additional health services as necessary.
- Assist in facilitating resident transfers to and from hospitals or other facilities.
- Provide support and counseling to residents and their families.
Emergency Preparedness:
- Be available for medical inquiries and emergencies as scheduled.
- Work with the Director of Food & Beverage to address residents' dietary requirements.
- Review changes in residents' health conditions with relevant stakeholders.
Training and Compliance:
- Oversee training related to residents' health and wellness.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
- Maintain comprehensive wellness records for residents.
- Facilitate OSHA training and assist staff in compliance efforts.
- Coordinate state-mandated training to ensure regulatory adherence.
Safety Commitment:
- Demonstrate a commitment to working safely and maintaining a vigilant environment.
- Take responsibility for the safety of both staff and residents.
- Disclose any medications that may affect job performance.
