About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer Assistant to join our dynamic Engineering team at the City of Cathedral City. As an Assistant Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in planning and designing public works and capital improvement projects, as well as providing regulatory oversight and private development review.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of Civil Engineering field and office work, including planning and design of public works and capital improvement projects.
  • Provide regulatory oversight and private development review.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and detailed records of project progress and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Valid Class C California driver's license.
  • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification recognized by the State of California.
  • At least one year of experience performing civil engineering work.
