Your Role:

As a registered dietitian, you will implement the nutrition care process to screen, assess, diagnose, provide nutrition interventions, and monitor the nutritional status and progress of patients.

Utilizing the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Standards of Practice in Nutrition Care and Standards of Professional Performance, you will actively engage in exceptional customer service and maintain respectful relationships with all.



Your Contributions to the Team:

Assessment: Conduct nutrition-focused physical assessments, gather measurements, review medical histories, collect data through interviews, and evaluate anthropometric status using validated tools.

Diagnosis: Analyze assessment data to identify nutrition risks, nutrition-related issues, and high-risk health behaviors.

Intervention: Provide nutrition recommendations, education, counseling, and referrals to additional services.

Education and Counseling: Deliver culturally sensitive counseling and education tailored to patients with specific nutritional needs.

Monitoring: Offer follow-up services to track progress and adjust nutrition care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.

Leadership: Facilitate supervised practice experiences for dietetic interns and new staff, staying updated on emerging research and guidelines, and participating in performance improvement initiatives.



Qualifications Required:
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or a related field with 8 years of clinical experience
- OR a Graduate degree in nutrition or a related field with 6 years of clinical experience
- OR a Post-Graduate degree in nutrition or a related field with 4 years of clinical experience

Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in nutrition or a related field
- Active registered dietitian status with the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR) and current licensed status with the Florida Department of Health
- Board Certified specialist in the relevant area through CDR or nutrition support through the National Board of Nutrition Support (specific requirements may vary by position).
