Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work with the project team to create an action plan for the development and project completion of assigned Sub-Surface Utility Engineering projects. This will involve ensuring projects remain within a specified budget and schedule, interacting with field and office staff, and balancing multiple tasks on multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement project plans to ensure timely and within-budget completion
  • Collaborate with project managers to identify and troubleshoot problems
  • Coordinate with other SUE departments as needed
  • Participate in site visits, agency meetings, and municipal meetings as required
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
  • Professional Engineer registration in Texas or ability to acquire registration quickly through reciprocity
  • TxDOT Pre-Certification in Subsurface Utility Engineering or ability to acquire precertification quickly
  • 3-5 years' professional engineering experience required, with experience in Subsurface Engineering and TxDOT-related projects preferred
