">The Rappahannock Area YMCA SACC program is seeking a qualified Childcare Program Leader to join our team. This part-time position offers a competitive hourly rate of $18 and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children.
Job Summary
">We are looking for an individual who is passionate about working with children and has excellent leadership skills. As a Childcare Program Leader, you will be responsible for implementing and planning curriculum within established guidelines, nurturing children through purposeful programming, and supervising personnel and volunteers.
Responsibilities
">- Implement and plan curriculum within established guidelines;
- Nurture children through purposeful programming dedicated to building achievement and belonging;
- Supervise and direct personnel and volunteers as needed;
- Supervise the children, classroom, and all activities;
- Support healthy eating and physical activity standards;
- Cultivate positive relationships with parents;
- Maintain program site and equipment;
- Maintain required program records;
- Attend and participate in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training;
Requirements
">- Meet educational and experience qualifications established by state licensing requirements;
- At least 16 years of age;
- CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, and required trainings;
- Ability to implement age-appropriate program activities;
- Previous experience with diverse populations;
- Completes Presidium within 7 days of hire date;
- Understanding of the YMCA's commitment to inclusion and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act;
Physical Demands
">- Ability to walk, stand, and sit for long periods;
- Exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids;
- Lifting and assisting children up to 50 pounds;
- Lifting and carrying food and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds;
- Standing or sitting while maintaining alertness;
- Bending, leaning, kneeling, and walking;
- Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate;
- Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations;
- Ability to plan, lead, and participate in activities;
