Job Title: Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Practical Nurse to join our team at the State of Michigan. As a Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The Practical Nurse will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care, administer medications, and perform various medical procedures. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, communicating effectively with patients and healthcare staff, and participating in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and maintaining patient records.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare staff to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in healthcare.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure patient-centered care.
Requirements:
  • Possession of a certificate from a practical nursing education program accepted for licensure by the Michigan Board of Nursing.
  • Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in the state of Michigan.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
