Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Portage Opco LLC. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to our residents.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse coordinates and provides nursing care for residents, supervises and guides clinical staff members, and ensures that residents receive the best possible care.

Responsibilities:
  • Document resident conditions and nursing needs
  • Implement physicians' orders accurately and promptly
  • Assign nursing care to team members based on resident needs and staff capabilities
  • Supervise, direct, and evaluate junior staff members and CNAs
  • Administer medications and perform treatments for assigned residents
  • Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel
  • Ensure supplies are utilized economically and equipment is clean and maintained
  • Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents
  • Coordinate nursing care of residents for therapy or procedures
  • Interview applicants and recommend hires
  • Supervise nursing unit, including scheduling and directing nursing staff
  • Assure inventory and supplies are maintained on the unit
Requirements:
  • Graduate of accredited LPN/LVN school of nursing
  • Valid LPN/LVN license in the state employed
  • Valid CPR certification
  • One year experience in nursing preferred
