Role Overview

As a Component Engineer, you will be instrumental in the component selection process, leveraging your expertise to address complex challenges that impact the delivery of innovative Apple devices. Your contributions will directly influence the performance and reliability of our products.


Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary component authority for project teams, providing insights on alternative components and troubleshooting related issues.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to drive new component development and establish qualification roadmaps.
  • Analyze and assess component PCNs (Part Change Notifications) to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Oversee and document all root cause failure analyses related to components, implementing necessary corrective measures.
  • Manage the lifecycle of components to optimize performance and reliability.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of industry experience, with at least 3 years specifically in Component Engineering or a related field. You should have a proven ability to work collaboratively across various teams, including Electrical Engineering, Design for Manufacturing, and Global Supply Chain Management, to resolve component-related challenges.

In-depth knowledge of component applications, manufacturing processes, and qualification standards is essential. Familiarity with engineering documentation, such as schematics and data sheets, along with standard document control practices, is required.

Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for success in this role.


Education

A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
