Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Deputy Project Manager to provide oversight, direction, and coordination during periods when the Project Manager is unavailable. The successful candidate will assist in managing and administering the daily work effort of a contract with over 300 employees, ensuring fully adequate, disciplined, and timely completion of all requirements in a safe manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide primary point of contact when the Project Manager is unavailable
  • Assist in carrying out contractual goals, policies, and procedures set by the Project Manager
  • Manage daily general activities related to providing services
  • Ensure accurate records are maintained in accordance with BAMC, The Joint Commission (TJC), and departmental directives
  • Direct and oversee the contract's financial and budgetary activities
  • Analyze financial statements and other performance indicators
  • Coordinate and monitor the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of the contract
  • Ensure adherence to master plans and schedules
  • Direct work of employees assigned to the contract from various departments
  • Ensure accomplishment of the contract objectives are completed on time and within budget
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, and/or quantitative analysis or related skill area
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a managerial position in a Army Medical Command activity
  • Three (3) years' experience with responsible oversight of large administrative operations support functions
  • Three (3) years' experience with regulatory compliance, including The Joint Commission (TJC), OSHA, EPA, and FAR
  • Knowledge of Army Medical correspondence and records management procedures
  • Ability to understand, speak, read, and write the English language
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.

Security Clearance

There are currently no Security clearance requirements, however, qualified candidates must be able to successfully pass a background check and be able to gain access to the facility.
