As a key member of our facilities department, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our buildings, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and maintain the interior of County buildings, including vacuuming floors, cleaning bathrooms, emptying trashcans, and mopping floors.
- Utilize various equipment and machinery, such as buffers, vacuum cleaners, and cleaning supplies, to perform tasks and duties.
- Empty garbage and trash containers on a regular basis and maintain their cleanliness and sanitation.
- Maintain the cleanliness of walls, windows, and furniture by washing, dusting, waxing, or buffing as needed.
- Ensure the restrooms are clean and sanitary, replacing soap, toilet tissue, paper towels, etc. as necessary.
- Communicate with immediate supervisors and the public to provide assistance, receive instructions, and exchange information.
- Perform related work as required, including utilizing a variety of tools and equipment.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent with six (6) months of experience in custodial or maintenance duties or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Ability to perform light to medium work, including walking or standing virtually all of the time, and exerting between 20 and 50 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis.
- Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving history.
