Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher Road Specialist to join our team at Primoris Heavy Civil. As a Concrete Finisher Road Specialist, you will be responsible for working in various weather conditions and must have experience in various concrete paving environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks, or curbs to specified textures.
  • Must be willing to travel amongst several projects within the area and will be working in various weather conditions.
  • Report to and assist immediate supervisor.
  • Perform quality work as determined by project specifications.
  • Accountable for all tools and materials at the end of your shift.
  • Spread concrete to specified depth and workable consistency.
  • Level, smooth, and shape freshly poured concrete.
  • Finish concrete surfaces.
  • Remove rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces and patch holes.
  • Sprinkle stone chips, powered steel, or coloring powder on concrete to produce prescribed finish.
  • Produce concrete surface.
  • Direct subgrade work, mixing of concrete, and setting of forms.
  • Break up and repair old concrete surfaces.
  • Calculate amounts of concrete required for each job.

Requirements:

  • Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.).
  • Must comply with company's drug and alcohol abuse policy.
  • Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.
  • Must be able to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel, etc.).

Work Environment:

Industrial construction sites and/or fabrication shop. Predominately outdoor climate. Various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc. Potential exposure to chemical substances.
