Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Western North CF. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to our incarcerated patients.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Under the clinical guidance of Registered Nurses, direct and guide patient teaching activities commensurate with education and demonstrated competencies.
  • Assist in planning and implementing individual treatment programs, in the health care unit and housing unit, by utilizing available resources and consulting with registered nurses, physicians, and correctional officers.
  • Implement medical plans through administering medications and interventions in accordance with provider instructions.
  • Document nursing encounters, patient response, effectiveness, complications, etc., and communicate information to supervisory personnel and physicians, in accordance with provider's orders.
Requirements
  • Current, unrestricted New Mexico Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) License
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience; correctional experience preferred
