We are seeking a skilled Concrete Superintendent to oversee and manage concrete operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in concrete placement, finishing, and related construction tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the placement of both flatwork and vertical concrete structures.
- Ensure proper techniques are applied in spreading, vibrating, screeding, and floating concrete to achieve the desired consistency and finish.
- Work independently with minimal supervision after receiving initial instructions.
- Adhere to all safety regulations on the job site and promote a culture of safety among team members.
- Foster positive relationships with colleagues to ensure collaborative task completion.
- Interpret blueprints, perform layout tasks, and understand concrete testing and curing processes.
- Exhibit high motivation, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Maintain job site efficiency through effective team performance and proper tool and equipment usage.
- Possess knowledge of local, state, and OSHA safety standards.
- Demonstrate expertise in concrete construction plans, specifications, and shop drawings, including reinforcing, formwork, and anchor bolts.
- Manage and lead a concrete crew effectively.
Qualifications:
- Proven work history in concrete construction.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Reliable transportation is essential.
- Willingness to work at various job sites.
- Completion of safety training, including BNSF, eRail, and OSHA-10 Hour Construction, may be required upon hiring.
- Physical capability to lift 50-70 pounds regularly and perform tasks requiring climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
- Potential for working at heights as needed.
- Willingness to travel temporarily for out-of-town projects.
