Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Oral Surgery Assistant Trainee to join our team. As a key member of our oral surgery department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our surgeons in delivering high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional patient care and support to patients undergoing oral and plastic surgery procedures.
- Assist surgeons with preparing patients for procedures, including taking vital signs and preparing instruments and materials.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs during procedures.
- Provide patients with written instructions for post-operative care and follow-up.
- Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
- Ensure operatory and exam rooms are cleaned and instruments are sterilized prior to patient examinations/procedures.
- Up to one year of basic technical education or at least one year of on-the-job training.
- High School diploma required.
- Basic CPR certification.
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) by the Dental Assistant National Board (DANB).
