Oral Surgery Assistant Trainee

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Oral Surgery Assistant Trainee to join our team. As a key member of our oral surgery department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our surgeons in delivering high-quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support to patients undergoing oral and plastic surgery procedures.
  • Assist surgeons with preparing patients for procedures, including taking vital signs and preparing instruments and materials.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs during procedures.
  • Provide patients with written instructions for post-operative care and follow-up.
  • Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Ensure operatory and exam rooms are cleaned and instruments are sterilized prior to patient examinations/procedures.
Requirements:
  • Up to one year of basic technical education or at least one year of on-the-job training.
  • High School diploma required.
  • Basic CPR certification.
  • Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) by the Dental Assistant National Board (DANB).
