About the Role

Southcoast Health System, Inc. is seeking a talented Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient care and procedures
  • Facilitate efficient patient flow through the clinic or medical office
  • Communicate with patients and families regarding test results, surgery schedules, and procedures
  • Update and access patient information using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
Requirements
  • Equal to completion of four years of high school or equivalent plus specialized courses and training
  • National third-party certification, such as AMCA, AAMA, AMT, CCMA (NHA certification), or NCMA (NCCT certification)
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program or equivalent medical office practice experience
  • BLS certification
  • Prior experience in using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and/or health-related computer software
  • One (1) year of medical assistance work experience
