Responsibilities:
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient care and procedures
  • Facilitate efficient patient flow through the clinic or medical office
  • Communicate with patients and families regarding test results, surgery schedules, and procedures
  • Update and access patient information using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
Requirements:
  • Equal to completion of four years of high school or equivalent plus specialized courses and training
  • National third-party certification, such as AMCA, AAMA, AMT, CCMA, or NCMA, within thirteen (13) months of hire
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program or equivalent medical office practice experience
  • BLS certification
  • Prior experience in using an EMR and/or health-related computer software
